What is circulation
The Australian Bureau of Circulation audit verifies the paid circulation of a publication over a defined audit period. With the introduction of new Rules that came into effect on July 3, 2006 the audit requirements for Publishers has changed. As of July 3, 2006, weekly magazines with an Average Issue Audit over 25,000 must deliver 13-week audit reports. All other publisher members continue to report 26-week period July to December and January to June.
Pacific's current circulation overview
Pacific Magazines publishes two of the top five biggest selling magazines in Australia - New Idea and Better Homes and Gardens. Pacific Magazines enjoys a 29% market share which is achieved with only 17 audited titles. In the six months to Dec 2009, Pacific sold over 29 million copies which equates to a Pacific title sold every 0.5 seconds.
